Picking Fresh Green Tea Leaves

It’s photohunt once again and this time it is all about body parts. I decided to take photo of my hand while I’m picking tea for my refreshment, anyway I really wanted to pick fresh green tea leaves during my rest day so as to energize me.

How about you? What part of your body will you represent on this week’s photohunt? Have fun guys!

This is such a great photo for the theme this week. I’m really curious about what those leaves are that you’re going to make your tea from. I’m growing some Chocolate Mint which I can hardly wait for it to grow enough for me to pick. I’m also growing Lemon Verbena for tea or lemon aid.

Cool….are you inviting us ALL to have tea with you?! Please, yes I’ll take some too.

Mine’s posted. “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours”. [and it's not what you think! ::giggles::]

Great shot. I’ve never had fresh tea leaves, but I imagine it would be quite delicious.

That is so cool–we pick our own herbs but not tea. VEry cool.

Hi alice!, the plant is actully a wild tea endemic in the tropics, many studies were conducted and this plant showed many medicinal effects. I’m not quite sure of the scientific name for this plant but I’ll tell you soon after I researched it. Thanks for the comment.

Sounds like a really good idea! A nice cup of tea. Oh, makes me remember when we were in Scotland and England, they had fabulous tea!!! And homebaked breads…. Yummy.

As to your question about my photohunt photo, what lens I used… I’m very pleased to answer no one special! You see it were not taken with a DSLR, it was a Canon digital Ixus!!! It’s good, but this was a perfect weather-day too and it was one of those one in a hundred-shot’s :-)

You pick the leaves gently – I like that – shows nature how you appreciate her bounty.
    Thanks for the lovely comment.

Great shot of your hand picking tea leaves. You must be keeping very healthy as how green or fresh can tea leaves be.

Lovely colors in your photograph. You grow tea? That’s fabulous. What is the main difference in flavor between fresh and dried tea leaves, in your opinion?

And thanks for stopping by Sallyacious.
