Achieve happiness at work

Many companies are fostering activities that keep their workers happy and stop them from leaving. The idea is based on research by American psychologist and author Martin Seligman, and it highlights the importance of fostering “positive psychology” at the workplace to improve job satisfaction, productivity and profitability.

Here are some ways to promote job satisfaction:

Start from the top: If a leader’s actions promote hope, creativity, optimism, and choice, then those things become a way of life for the rest of the organization.

Encourage growth: Help employees enhance their personal power so they can pursue what it is that will make them happy, otherwise you’ll find employees blaming the company for all their problems.

Have a heart. Make the workplace such that it promotes positive feelings. Companies relying heavily on personnel, like call centers, have creation rooms where workers can unwind and recharge. Some even provide free coffee, lounge areas, and even a gym within the work premises.

I am an employee too so I think this could suffice the happiness of employees.
