Despite its others shortcomings, Amazon Kindle 2, a reading device became a model for e-readers. This $359 pleasure reading gadget was so saleable to many, but I was in the Amazon shop and I weigh in the pros and cons of this gadget.
During this crisis time many would want to save money so instead of buying non-essential stuff many would rather buy those stuff that are really essential and has practical use. So there I went inside the shop and found this gadget that seems so tempting, of course who wouldn’t get tempted, digital is a hip. You can purchase e-book, download it and everything is a breeze. You can bring it anywhere unlike a conventional book that weighs of nearly three pounds. A selection for Kindle The Kindly Ones by Jonathan Littell is priced at $16.19 sounds bargain right? It seems that this price is a fraction of the printed one. But later I discovered in Amazon’s bookstore the hardcover book now sells at only $17.99. So one can only save $1.80.
Thinking you buy for the gadget (Kindle 2) worth $359 and e-books worth same as the printed version which would you prefer to read now? I hope Amazon can address this matter to their customers.

You left out one important factor regarding the Kindle. Amazon can remotely delete books you’ve downloaded from your device. This happened just recently:
