Lately I have been suffering from colds. It’s been a while so I asked my physician on what are some ways to treat this naturally. He said fighting colds is easy so here are his recommendations to me.
- According to him I must take Vitamin C. Tough it is not proven to treat colds, but studies suggests that it shorten the duration of colds. People recover from colds more quickly after taking a megadose of it a day.
- A hot tea may also help in decongestion of nasal passage through its steam. The fluid from the tea also soothes the throat and keeping your body hydrated. The antioxidants in tea also helps prevent diseases in the future.
- Along with colds are sore throats so it’s better to gargle warm water with a teaspoon of salt to kill some bacteria that cause of colds.
- Since he noticed that I got I bags he immediately told that I get a bed rest. He knew that I sleep late because of my job so according to him I should take a rest to build my immune system. Bed rest is important since immune cells develop at rest stage thus it can help fight germs in the body.
I am now starting to do all of this just to cure my colds.
