Be healthy by sleeping longer

Even if you’re just an hour short of a good night’s sleep, you could be raising your heart disease risk, according to a recent study. Although we don’t yet know exactly how sleep deprivation causes cardiovascular disease, we do know that people who sleep longer are healthier according to Lawrence Epstein, M.D. To get your full eight hours nightly, first and foremost, set aside enough time to sleep. Epstein also suggests cutting back on caffeine, exercising during the day and finding a relaxing routine to follow each night before bed.
